BeatFocus didn't start as a workspace. It started as a single timer — and grew, one version at a time, into the tool I always wished I had in the studio.
It started with a timer
The first version of BeatFocus did exactly one thing: it counted the hours I actually spent making music. No accounts, no clutter — just a focus timer, a daily goal and a streak to keep me honest.
That little app made a surprising difference. But the longer I used it, the more I noticed everything it wasn't doing — the takes, the references, the half-finished packs and the deals living in my DMs.
The scattered middle
Like most producers, my workflow was spread across a dozen apps that were never built for music: notes, calendars, spreadsheets, voice memos, email threads and drive folders. Ideas got lost. Follow-ups went cold. The fun part — making music — kept getting buried under admin.
From timer to workspace
So, version by version, BeatFocus grew up. Sessions moved in. Then opportunities and a real pipeline. Then a calendar, splits and contacts — everything a producer's day actually touches, finally under one calm roof.
The principles never changed: free to use, no subscriptions or clutter, and your data stays on your device. BeatFocus is a workspace, not cloud storage — it organises your world without taking it hostage.
Still early, still listening
